Well im new to the site and figured that there would be plenty of members here that have lowered thier cars and would have answers to my questions!!! I have been looking at Eibach sportline and pro kit springs:

1) who here has used either of these ???

2) how low is too low???

3) besides having to purchase the tie rod ends and caster camber plates what
else will i have to do???

4) what are a good choice of shocks to mate to these springs???

5) what kind of complications will i run into if any???

6) does anyone have pics of thier cars with this or a similar setup on it???

Thanks for any info that may be of help!!!!!:)

I lowered my car with nothing but Eibach Pro-Kit. I didn't do an alignment and my tires are wearing fine. I say just get the springs for now and save your money. Go for the alignment if you lower more than the pro-kit. We took my friends car to get and alignment after just the pro-kit install and the shop said they didn't have to do hardly anything to it.

this topic been beaten to death and i'd recommend a search, but avoid eibach sportlines. they sag...or maybe its just the majorty of all eibach's rear springs sag (even the prokits sometimes) This is just a little quick and dirty FYI list:

Low is ~2" drop (sportlines, H&R super sports) as you will have to avoid potholes like landmines, and bottom out on nearly every speedbump known to man.. Unless you can stand doing this...i live with it just fine. :D
- you will need caster/camber plates
- fat tires may rub on fenders, chewing them up
- your midpipe will get raped on everything.
- catback may rub/bump against stock rear sway bar
- however, you will get compliments all the time on how your car sits :nice: haha

1.5" Drop springs:
A good drop for drivablility AND looks would be Steeda Sport Springs, H&R sport springs or eibach prokits. But like i said, i would avoid eibach if you can...they are good quality....for the most part, kinda....but their sportlines (and sometimes prokits) on our cars just end up sagging in the rear...

- caster/camber plates not really needed
- more clearance
- car rides closer to stock ride quality but a little more firm with less body roll
- car will not look as good (IMO but im biased), but will be a better daily driver.

for a daily driver i always recommend steeda sports or H&R sports. cant beat 'em for all around functionality
