Ok here is a deal,
I have Twisted Wedge heads that are milled .035 or .040 (not sure because guy who sold them to me don't remember exactly)
I have plan build nice 306 with my block and good 306 kit
I going with 9:1 compression (8-12 psi from turbo) but problem are my heads because those heads are milled and if i use them i will bump compression .6 to .7 so it will be 9.6 or 9.7 which i don't wanna

I have 4 solutions

1. Get pistons that are 8.3:1 so with heads compression will be 9:1
2. Get thicker headgasket
3. Machined combustion chambers to get previous cc
4. Get new TW heads with stock CCs

I don't wanna spend a lot of money so it have to be on budget but good

Don't post "sale TW and get AFR" or something like
Or don't build 306,build 331 or 347

Have your heads cc'd to verify the actual cc. This will cost around $25 at a machine shop. Then find out what dish piston you could run to get around 9:1 compression with that cc. You can always run a thicker/thinner head gasket to get what you need with the pistons.

Also if your going to buy a good kit and you know the cc of the heads you can pass that info to the company and tell them your plans and goals...they should be able to get a piston to work with your heads and rec. what to mill the block to to get the needed comp. ratio were you want it.
