hey guys i already own a 03 mustang gt with full bolt ons. it has 60k miles on it and is an automatic. i am just about to start a new job where i will be making 20k more money, and they will be giving me an allowance of 500 dollars a month for a car. what i was wondering is do you guys think i should buy an old mustang and fix it up, or do you think i should buy an 05+ gt. in both cases the 03 would be my dd for work. the other option is i could get a beater and use that daily

i'd save up for something like a 02+ Volkswagon GTI 1.8T (or VR6 if you cant stand not having extra power). Nice semi spacious car that gets mid 30's mpg on the freeway. Meanwhile use ur stang as the company car then switch off when you buy the car. Then you have a pretty nice car that you dont need to work on, and can drive while your 03 stang is in pieces getting forged internals for when it sees boost:nice:

i think i have decided. i found a 1967 triumph spitfire with 55k miles on it...

well i kinda want either a convertible or something eith a sunroof... i was thinking about getting an integra, but all the ones i have found are either riced up or 100k+ miles. i am wantring to get something that i can just buy if i could

Stevo,

1) This 500 dollar allowance; does it specify that the auto has to be less than 4 years old or have less than 100G on the clock?

2) I would assume with an up to 500 dollar allowance, you would be required to drive more places for work; i.e. job sites and such?

3) If this company gives you 500 dollars and you are not expected to drive anywhere or rack up any miles on this so-called company car, where is it that you work and what are you doing to be given free money?

4) Get a corolla with a sun roof if you have to drive a lot. Save the spare cash for the Mustang.

yeah there are no stipulations, but i do need to drive alot.... i am not gonna put those miles on the stang, that is why i was gonna try and see if i can buy something cheap, and get the 500 a month to pay off my mustang and forge the internals.. i want the stang to have 500 horses, but it would be nice to have that 500 a month going straight to my pocket and not to a car payment on a second car
