I hope some companies can see the profit potential for the thousands of v6 models that will be on the road and in the new platform. I haven't found any cranks or rods for this engine yet, but hope it comes. I like the 3.95 bore and maybe there is some room to stroke it past the stock 3.32 stroke. I was thinking about an auto (knee injury, would love a stick) twin turbo 4.0 with 350hp to the ground. Find a salvaged GT rear and whatever else necessary. Unfortunately the 6 only has non hypertectic cast aluminum pistons. I would want to change that.
Why a V6? Bored. Try something more sleeper like. No rice here. They're a 120 some pounds lighter to start too. The 6 is more like my old '87 Buick GN. Miss that thing (old lady totaled it). Off the boost may find a couple more mpg too. Who knows. I'd appreciate any turbo performance shop feedback on the feasibility of this. If it is feasible and profitable, maybe I'll go get a v6 and look you up when it is time.
