need autometer adparter for lower intake

i need a lower adparter thats goes into the lower intake .the red one is to big to fit into the trick flow intake. i need a reducer to go into the lower intake then into the blue adparter cause when u put the blue part in. the temp cord is loose and antifreeze comes out the top of the adparter . now does auto meter sell that part .i know i need the stock size temp sensor setting but in a reducer then the blue part to go into that fitting its for 2 5/8 auto meter gauges water temp

Not sure what all the "red and blue" stuff is, but when I installed mine, I had to use 2 brass fittings. 1 to go into the intake, and 1 that screwed into the 1st fitting for the sensor it self. If your autometer gauge is brand new, it should have fittings that will fit into one another, if not, run to a hardware store and and get some in the plumbing section or your local parts store may carry a bad of adapters sold by Autometer.

ok at the end of the auto meter gauge there is a blue fitting no in the pack there is a red adparter none of this fit into the lower intake. the blue fitting works but u can move the temp wire up and go and anti freeze comes out. now with a reducer on the end on the intake and screwing the blue piece on the reducer it will be tight thats the part i need

Yeah, go to the parts store and check the area where the gauges are sold, you can usually pick up a bag of the brass fittings. One will work as a middle man between your temp sender and lower intake.

Or just run to the hardware store and buy a couple of different sizes and return the ones that dont work.

yeah it sucks i wanted to hook up the gauges tonight but i need that part i know i need the same size as the temp sensor but open on top to screw into the blue adapter. if anybody has a part number or size i need it will make it easier for me. summit part number or auto meter number thanks

I don't have a part number, but I had this problem as well. Go to your local auto parts store and ask them if they have an assortment of fittings. I got an assortment pack for around $6 and then I just picked out the one that fit. They did not have them individually. I think I got mine at O'Reilly, but most auto parts stores probably have them. The brand was not autometer, but it was a brand that makes gauges if I remember correctly. The brand doesn't matter. Be sure and use some type of thread sealer or teflon tape or whatever so it doesn't leak.

look in your instructions and it will give you a part #of the brass fitting you need. 2268 (autometer #) or something like that. check if someone can get it locally from autometer.

I had the same problem with my Stewart Warner gauge. I looked at all my local parts houses for just the fitting to no avail. Ended up having to buy the cheapest water temp gauge at autozone and using the fitting from it.
