Need better 1/8th time

As you can see my mods are very little. I can avg run around the 9.4-9.5's. Best I got was a 9.3. This is in the 1/8TH. Crossing line around 74MPH Got a bud here with a Firehawk that ran a 8.9 stock. What is something simple that can be done to put me closer to that time without hurting the wallet to bad. Somewhere in the few hundred range.
Thanks guys GT:nice:

:SNSign:

I went from a 9.4 best with 2.73s to 9.0s with just gears and rebuilt posi. With 3.73s and drag radials based on my gains you'll probably run a 8.7-.8 which would be enough to take him, but not by much.

EDIT: I'll have to say a 9.3 was a pretty good run for a mostly stock mustang. I ran that 9.4 with o/r xpipe, cat-back pro 5.0 shifter and moroso cai.

About the CAI is it worth investing into? I have heard both sides and am kinda confused about weather its worth it or not? Some ppl there questioned me about the mods that I have because of my time. I dont know if its got the O.E. gears in back, but I cant see the previous owner changing gears, and leaving the silencer in the fender. Everyone with a Fox knows the 1st thing to do is remove that thing, which I did.
Wish I could fine someone decent $$$ here that will change gears. Our shop does not do that, we will replace the whole rear end, but not rebuild them.

Your mph isnt that bad for stock gt. Whats your 60' time? Your stock air box is a CAI so getting a pretty chrome one wont do anything for you. You can check if your car has gears if you have a lift. And a reputable shop will probably charge around 250 to instal gears. Definatly get 3.73 gears, and try to lose some weight. the car i mean lol. Unless you want to start getting into some deep mods, i would suggest that and getting some dr's and practice.

How can ya confirm what gear you have, besides looking @ the tag? Like I stated I dont think the car has a different gear other than stock. I have been told by a few that im turning good times for what I have. They are saying that something else is done with the car. I dont wanna invest $$$$ into gears if they are already there. Could I simply pull the cover and count the teeth.

Strype on the Maf I have one in the garage that was givin to me. The guy said he bought it for his 92LX Auto and was told it wouldn't work. So he gave it to me. It's brand new. Called Summit but there is no part # on it.

Make a mark on the driveshaft and mark on the tire with a piece of chalk. Spin the tire one full revolution and count how many times the driveshaft spun around. For instance, if your driveshaft spun 2 3/4 times, you have stock 2.73 gears.

there ya go.

And the times are decent, probably like a mid 14 in the 1/4? I wouldnt say anything else is done to it.

OK I will do that, just checked the outside diameter of my tires to see how close they are to o.e.. Looks like they are .3 larger than stock. Im running a 245/45Z17.
It shows on the Michelin 225/55R16 25.7 and mine 26.0.
I will update later THANKS
