need combo suggestions

Well i just got my buddy a deal on an 83 gt. And were trying to come up with a good high 12 second capable combo that is streetable . The good part is that i put an 88 roller engine in the car for the guy who owned it before my buddy bought it. So its a carbed roller setup.

I was thinking either trickflow heads or afr's. What cam and what intake. What carb would be good for the setup as well.

If you guys can give me some suggestions or tell me what you have had experience with , i would appreciate it.

The car is a 5 speed as well and had an 8.8 raar swapped in already.any other things im missing just ask. Thanks guys

My 84 had a roller block, air gap rpm intake, 1" open spacer, e-cam, 750 vac sec. LT's, flows, h-pipe, 5 speed. 3.55's. I don't have any time slips, but it would scream.

With afr's, and a nice cam, dr's, and gears in an 8.8 that would be pretty hot.

Trickflow heads, for the win! I know that the AFR head flow (ever so slightly) better, but the price they get for them, they should be made out of gold and platinum, and AFR's support after the sale is probably some of the worst in the industry.

WEll the deal flopped sorry guys,
the kid destroyed the car , i havent seen it in a year since i put the roller engine into it. and when i saw it this week. I was like wtf happened. I got in it to take a drive and the it would barely move because the clutch was gone completely wasted. I said dude the clutch is slipping like crazy and he acted like he didnt know, and was c'mon get in i will take you for a ride. . So i get in the car with him and he trys to move it from the spot and it will barely budge lol and he acts like he is suprised,... it just pisses me off. There was so much more wrong with the car but oh well.
