A couple of days ago I started hearing a weird constant clicking noise in the engine, coupled with a cooling issue. I sorta think its the fan clutch just about to crap on me. I am thinking of either getting a mechanical or electric fan to replace it soon. If I go mechanical I'm getting the regular flexlite one and I'm looking at getting the black magic If I go electrical. I already have a 130 amp alternator installed and was just wondering which one of the 2 should I get performance wise and more bang for the buck. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. BTW the car is a 90 mustang LX with 138,000 miles on the engine.

Not to pee in anyone's cereal but neither route sounds appealing to me. If you live someplace real cold and don't have AC, the listed clutch could work.

And for an E-fan (you have the alt, so I'd go this route), I'd use an OEM fan from a J/Y. The OEM's are made to go for 100-150K Miles.

Just MHO.

Good luck.
