NEED HELP ASAP!!!!

It's getting cold up here in Quebec,Canada! Now, my car is sitting in my unheated garage full of water in my cooling system! Here is the dilema, my tranny is out becuz i broke it .I've already draind the water from my alum rad, but how can i get the bloody water out of the block?? The only way i can think of is if i put the bell housing back on with the starter and then crank it while having the thermostate housing off???? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:SNSign:

find a way to run pressure through it, or a way to run antifreeze into it (essientially taking away ur water problem)

Do you have a outdoor type shop vac, one of the kind that will suck up water? If so, use some duct tape to tape the suction hose to the water pump hose that goes to the radiator. That will suck the water out of the block, but it will take a while. It will probalby need to have the heater hoses capped so that it tries to suck though the block and pull air from the hose connected to the thermostat housing,

I think each side the bloch has drain plugs that will drain the cooling jackets.

yeah each side of the block has freeze plugs and drain plugs, I think the drain plugs are a 1/4 ratchet size, meaning all you need is a 1/4 ratchet and maybe a short extension, stick it in there and loosen it and take it out and let the water drain.....or what about just filling the cooling system back up with straight antifreeze and run the motor?......I just saw my friends Dodge 318 motor he took out of his house boat, it was cracked a few places in the lifter galley, looked like how an earthquake happens one layer of the crack rises higher than the other side on one or two and other crack just looked like someone went at it with a flat blade chisel and a hammer. It was from the previous owner not winterizing it I guess, although the other motor is fine, idk but def dont let just water sit in there

why don't you just pull your temp sendor unit use a funnel and pour the coolant and water mixture in slowly. yes it will take time but you will fill the block. that way you have a mixture in it and it shouldn't matter how cold or where you have it stored. You could also just plug the car in so it is kept warm through the winter.

Steal the wife or G/F's hair dryer & use it to keep the engine warm. :
