find out where his shop is

LOL his shop! His shop is a bench grinder on his front porch! Getting ahold of him at that number is probably useless he always calls me from another number. He obviously doesn't understand the concept of caller ID. PM me for the other number.

I am heading to NMRA race next weekend and can stop by if need be.

He has some of my stuff also that was suppose to be work done on a trade for parts. He's had the stuff for over a year and a 1/2. I offered to come and get it on my days off this week and he suddenly went into hiding. I would say the e-mail saying you should see it by end of week is nothing but a ploy to buy time.

Well I don't think I'm quite as patient..but I'll allow another deadline to come and hopefully not go. I will be down there in the fall..as I am every yr for a couple weeks and MAYBE if need be we can get togther..I'll buy ya a beer, and we can go "visit"..in the nicest sense of the word. Really will continue hoping for the best..I'm dumb like that.

Just jump on a plane/train/bus and go visit him, even 3 months is far too long, by that point the travel cost should be justified by the satisfaction of confronting him in person...

Think of it this way, if I can have a car sent to me, by boat, from the other side of the world in 19 days, don't you think 3 months or more is a bit daft when it's on the same continent?

Guys had some issues..I know that, but he's responded to my PM and indicated that my part would be shipped by the end of this week. I assure you I will keep you guys up to date on the situation and hopefully post a picture of the damn thing all done and said fairly soon.

In case the people here reading haven't figured out I have met Ken in person and been to his house. Since I have met him on Ebay when he refurbished my alternator and polished he has always had excuses. The first one was he didn't have any spare alternators so I needed to send him mine. Only after hounding him and hounding him did I finally get it back. Shortly after that he wanted some parts I had taken off my car so I sent them to him in exchange for more polishing work(the work never got done and I am 99% sure he sold the parts and did not give me the money). That was in late July/early Aug of 2004. In Sept. 2004 Hurricane Charlie came through and he had some issues, yes. He did get kicked out of his house yes, I forget the exact reason why but IIRC it has to do with him being a crook! There have been several other hurricanes that hit FL since Sept 2004. I know very few people affected by any of them that are still asking for time to get stuff straight. As long as I have known Ken he has never had a full time job. He only dreams of building his mustang and doing his polishing work. At times he has had a part time job or so he says. He has been kicked off Ebay for ripping people off. Though he has a new screen name there. So Dman I understand your compassion and am thankful that you still have faith in your fellow man. Unfortunately your putting your faith in the wrong one. This guy has had a year and a 1/2 to get his act together and he just keeps making excuse after excuse. Last May when I met Ken I had invited him to go to TNT with me at BMP. On the way there he spilled everything to me, including how he ripped everyone off but was working on "making everything right". That is almost a year ago and he is still pulling the same old **** and making the same old excuses.

Sounds alot like the dealings I've had with him...Not looking very promising. Thanks JDS for taking the time to put your experience up here..I hope if nothing else is keeps others from being taken.

First Off, I was out of town for 5 days and didn't know one of my email accounts wasn't working. Just so happens that the email was the one Derek used to contact me. Once he sent me a PM here on Stangnet I was right back with him. That problem is solved.

Next, John, you got a lot of nerve talking about me this way, you haven't spoken anything to me for a long time. Your parts haven't been sold FYI, they are at my warehouse, you can pick them up anytime you see fit. Also, you didn't even contact me to arrange pick up for them, so that's a down right lie. Plus, the worn out flowmasters you gave me were hardly worth the polishing cost to do those parts. In retrospect, we made a deal and I understand that. I told you the valve covers you gave me to polish were in fact in BAD shape and would not polish out very well. To which you said, and I quote "Take your time, I don't care when I get them. I have no need or project for them right now anyway". I have your covers and your timing cover whenever you want them. And by the way, I have a shop that's not my front porch, it's a shop in Venice.

And third, Andy's intake is done, it's been done and is in a box ready to go.. I told him this already and sent this pic of it:

Oh, and by the way.. the reason I haven't been working a full time job, is because I'm trying to build a business that will put my family up for life. What the hell is wrong with that. just about EVERY business suffers bad press, it's a part of corporate life. And most times, folks give businesses a chance to rectify the situation BEFORE they blow a gasket. Not so with the guys back in 2004. 100.00 for an alternator or 30.00 for an intake plate for Turfmn is just the thing to scam over... BUT..BUT... BUT WAIT!!!! A 3000.00 Supercharger kit isn't tempting enough... I'm done defending myself on these forums. Nobody's getting ripped off, everyone WILL get their parts back and life will go on..end of story..

Good Day,
-Ken
