need help figuring out pushrod size

i have my engine down to the short block with heads and the timing cover on it.
and i'm really not happy with the cam that i put in it, so i was looking into something with a little more, with out going into notching the pistong ect.......

so the specs, for the cam i'm intrested in, says i need pushrods 0.040" bigger than stock.

so here's my problem, i don't know the stock pushrod length?

also any recomemdation on pushrods?

i didn't do the Head and cam swap before, i paid to get it done, so i don't even know the size of the pushrods that are in there now.

Thanks for any input
joe

Stock is 6.25 or actually 6.247 something like that anyway.... However i do recommend that you actually check your pushrod length with a length checker.

That value given in the cam specs is probably for stock heads anyway...

it's an AFM cam, and on the site they always list for use with TF or Eddy heads.
so i called them on my lunch break, and ask if the 0.40 longer pushrod would also apply to AFR 165 heads since that is what i have. Rick told me as long as i'm still use the 1.7 rr, that is what i would need.
So you would think i would have asked him when i had him on the phone. and realized after i hung up that i don't even know what size i would need in the first place. i would have felt like douche calling right back to ask.
so i ask here.
