Dayton, Oh
First let me tell you that I have a 94 Mustang that was a v6 that i recently converted to a carb 302. The new motor was originally out of a fuel injected 86 Mustang and i converted it to carb. Now that that is all done I am starting to inquire about forced induction. Since the motor is a 86, my car is a 94, and the motor is carbed, is there any products out there that will accomodate everything? I was wanted to use a belt driven supercharger, converting my carb to blow through. Any tips or products that you guys know of let me know!! Thanks

Yep, Paxton makes a complete centri blower set-up for carbed cars... looks pretty good too. The carb hat really tops off the engine bay. :nice:

Of course, u *might* have some fitament issues with the s95 engine bay.. I would buy the set-up for the foxbody carb set up.. get a foxbody accessory bracket setup... and go from there. maybe a little tweaking but Im sure you can work it out.

Yeah, thats what I man would guess ya know

but honestly, I do not know if the sn95 radiator set up and etc would get in the way of the blower location. This is really something I haven't seen done before.

But out of curiousity... how is your engine bay set up currenty? A mix between sn95 and fox style? complete fox style? mechanical or electric fan? anything else you think you should point out.

also note, that kit requires a demon carb.. you ok with using those?

Well, i used all of the brackets from the fox, used the v6 radiator, bought an adjustable thermostat that kicks the fan on when I want it to, I also swapped the auto for a 5 speed, it was out of a 95 v6 and it bolted up just fine to the 86 block, except i had to modify the bellhousing to move the starter in a half inch bc the flywheel is actually an inch smaller on the v8s than the 6's.

It said the holley would work with a purchase of an additional fuel line or something like that

It should also have plenty of room due to the fact on the left side is where the air fillter used to be so there is plenty of room.

My approach would differ from the norm a bit I think. :)

First of all, see if you can get a deal without using their bonnet or carb application because it is garbage. I gained 50rwhp switching to a superiorairflow.com bonnet. You can then use whatever carb you want and have it tuned appropriately. I think there is more info about blow through carbs on turbomustang.com. Also, if you do it that way it will be very easily to buy a mandrel bent 3" 90 pipe to go from the s/c to the carb and you can mount a BOV on that instead of a bypass.
