i toke the car for a hard 1st,2nd, and 3rd gear run to red line

the noise is not heard at idle but anything over 2k and the tapping noise increase with the engine rpm

i tried to use a long screw driver to see if i can hear were the noise is comming from i know its on the driver side but not sure if its in the head or bottom-end

the car was not over heating there was plenty of oil in her and i dont feel a lost on power

Let the engine fully cool down and check the torque on the spark plugs.

If it sounds like a clock ticking then it could be an exhaust leak or the lifters. While the car is running, take off the oil cap and stick your ear in the valve cover. If the ticking is coming from there, its probably just a lifter tick, nothing to worry about really. But since you did all that exhuast work recently, it's probably the connection where the X pipe meets with the exhaust manifold.

+1 I have BBK LT's and a BBK H pipe and I have had to replace the collector gaskets. The fact that it developed after you were jumping on it through the gears supports this theory... You probably just blew out part of the gasket/dounut. Hopefully thats all it is because as you know its a quick and easy fix.

+1 gaskets. the closer you get to the port the louder/sharper the sound. tighten the flange bolts first. if ti persists and it is a flange fix it.
