Need help, how to store glass.

I have a 66 Mustang GT Coupe and I just picked up a used rear window and I am looking for suggestions how best to store it. The window needs to be cleaned up and have some stickers removed.
Unfortunately the body is not yet ready for the rear glass, and I don't know if I should get the rubber moulding or have the glass company supply it.

Just put it somewhere outta the way where it can't get broke, and leave it on edge. it'll be fine.

why not just rest it in place where it goes on the car?

just put a towel on the bottom edge and the sides?

Most glass shops wil have a box that they recieved a window in. Most of the time they will just give it to you. We have shipped several windshield and they work great, should be good for the shop as well.

My front and back glass sat for years in the corner of my shop, on edge. I put an old towel on the floor, sat the windows upright, the placed a couple old pillows between them and an old blanket over them. When I went to put them in, they were dirty, but not chipped or broken. They're tougher than you think, but store them upright to be safe.
