Hey boys I recently got an 85 lx with a “69 boss 302” engine in it I just want to fact check that and I’m not sure how exactly. Casting number is C80E-6015. Thanks

Found this thread on another forum. Looks like that casting is ubiquitous for that time period. Check for the extra numbers behind the intake area they mention.

I would also google that casting number and see what information you find. Good luck.

Found this thread.

How Much Is A 1970 Boss 302 Engine Worth?

I found a 1970 Boss 302 Engine complete from carb to pan. Looks like its been sitting for a while, but overall looks like its in really nice shape, still has the factory stickers on it. The owner told me it was one that had the "FIRING ORDER" cast into the intake spelled wrong and there...

It might help. If you do have a real Boss 302 it would be worth a lot of money. I would think.

Not likely a BOSS block. They were mostly C9 and D0. Could possibly be a 302 GT350 block. Need more info.
