The part I have circled in the picture below is leaking. Does anyone know if it is included when you buy a master cylinder, or if theres a name for it?

Also, If I need to replace the master cylinder, would upgrading to a 95 style booster/cylinder make much difference with my stock brakes?

thanks

Yes that is your proportioning valve. It does not come with a new master cylinder.

I don't think upgrading these to a newer year would help any as they are designed for 4 wheel disc brakes, not rear drums.

It seems like it's leaking from the rubber seal on the front. So do I need to replace it then? I dont see it listed on Autozone's inventory, is there another name for it, or does anyone know what they cost?

Huh, they were all rear drums up until the end of the 93's (except the Cobra) so how were they designed for disc brakes? or did you mean newer year as 99-up
