I hear people saying it doesn't fit, yet I hear other people saying they did the swap using a 4 banger T5. What gives?! I don't have a V8 T5 yet and can't find one at a reasonable price so I am stuck with the the 4 cy. 5 speed until I have the funds for something better...

Anyway after searching, I think I only need a (1980's - 90's) Saab 900 pilot bearing and buff the input shaft so it will fit into my engine's crank? The tranny should fit right in with the V8 bellhousing, and clutch assembly?

This is the only thing left to do. Please advise because I am currently on bicycle since I dont have a daily driver anymore.

Thanks

Yes I did search that's how I got the Saab bearing info from 351wcoupe. But people (offline) tell me that the tranny doesnt even fit or work... This is getting me worried, that's why I posted this...

Dang it... my parts guys all want a year, engine etc...

After searching I noted it's an 1987 SAAB. I called a SAAB dealership and the guy told me that an 87 and a 91 is completely different.

I got some part numbers from 351Wcoupe (Motormite 14672 & Timken 202ff). I'll try this. But the parts stores all want the engine type and what not for the SAAB bearing.
