Need help installing new taillights

did this awhile ago, so i might miss a couple things. But, you just remove the "carpet" in the trunk. its held in place with plastic nuts that are shaped like hooks. almost looks like an anchor. can spin these off with your hands. Than your tail lights are held onto the car with i think 1/4" nuts that you need to remove prolly best to have a nut-driver for this. If i remember right there are only 2 nuts per light.

Its pretty strait forward and an easy install. Just be sure to use something to seal the connection where the lights plug in. My set came with a foil-type tape i used that and some heavy duty duct-tape around that. Its hella annoying to have fog in your tailights after you wash your ride.

I've done this three times in the last month, so you know I can practically do it blindfolded by now. LOL

At any rate, to follow-up on what was said...

1.) Unscrew the two pegs which hold the cargo net inside of the trunk.
2.) Once done, look in the upper-left and upper-right of the trunk. You'll notice two sets of "tabs" (or plugs) there--pull all four straight down.
3.) Now that you have six screwposts exposed, gently work the top of the lining down (to clear the posts), then away from the sidewall.
4.) There they are--the two taillights.
5.) On each taillight, you'll notice four (4) nuts. Unscrew all four, on both taillights. Make sure you don't drop any of the nuts or washers. ;)
6.) Next, wiggle--gently--the taillight and pull straight out.
7.) Now you are all set. Either unplug the wiring harness or unscrew the bulb for replacement.
8.) That's it!

NOTE:
DO NOT USE A SOCKET TO TIGHTEN THE SCREWS UP WHEN REPLACING EVERYTHING. Just hand-tighten them. Seriously, otherwise you risk cracking the plastic housing, and that's definitely NOT a good thing. ;)

ETA: 15 minutes for both taillights. Good luck!
