need help, my 84 5.0 will not fire

Well boys, got the old beast running. Bought a new battery and duraspark box, and it wanted to start, but still wasnt. I was getting good spark now, getting more than enough fuel, but no start. I decided to take my air cleaner off, and low and behold, the choke valve was stuck shut. What an idiot! Took it for a small test drive, came back, and the new coil and duraspark helped with some of my hesitation problems, but I am loosing major oil now, go look at my thread entitled "My car leaks oil like a sieve, Help!". Well anyways thanx a bunch guys.
