I have a 10" rockford sub, 760w pioneer amp, and a rockford rca converter thing. this system was working before, I had it hooked up to the data cable in the rear and it was working great. Then it stopped working. Thinking it was my sub I took it out and tested it on my home stereo and it worked. Long story short, I got a new amp and rca converter thing and its still not working. Is it possible my factory amps are blown? My rear speakers dont sound like they used to so thats what Im thinking it is any other opinions? Is there anyway I can bypass these amps and hook up to my rear speaker wires? Oh and I know this is going to sound dumb but yes I checked fuses and theyre all good.

theres a good chance it's something in your connections....also make sure that all the settings on the amp are correct...

why did u add the rca converter -if you had it hooked up directly to the head unit before?

maybe i'm just not understanding what u said....

No I didnt have it hooked up to the head unit b4 I couldnt figure a way to hook ip up like that so I used the rca converter from the start. Ill check the connections behind the head unit tomorrow and see if I find anything. thanks

ok--so i'm guessing u still have the stock head unit....

also check on the converter to see if there are level adjusters....maybe they are to low...and this is dumb---but make sure you have the headunit balanced and faded properly....

Yea I checked all of that set all the adjusters and checked the fade and balance still no sound. I must of hooked it up wrong once and all i could hear was a constant bassing sound. It wasnt in synch with the music.

One thing i havent checked is if my amps are getting hot. Ill leave the radio on for a while and see if they do, that should tell me if theyre working or not right?

OK so its all connected right, my driver side amp gets hot but my passenger side amp doesnt. Whats going on with this???

The malfunctioning amps are the factory amps in the rear, my sub amp is brand new and works fine.
