Need Help On A Clutch Problem

I have a 2000 GT 5 speed I just swapped a 5.4 into. Now I am getting a metal/metal squealing noise from bellhousing area. Sound does not change whether clutch is depressed or not. Any ideas?

Guess is the throw out bearing. That is the only thing that would make that noise unless you have a bent clutch finger.

Got a clutch kit today, going to put it in tomorrow/Monday and see what turns out

It sounds like the throw out bearing is riding on the fingers of the pressure plate or is starting to come apart. I would definitely replace the throw out bearing with a Ford Racing unit if your new kit doesn't include one.

Second that. I replaced my clutch with the one that came with the clutch and it went bad a year later. Do yourself a favor and order the FRPP one.
