Need Help really bad

On my way home today, my what i belive to be coolant light came on, its the yellow one with a fan in the middle. So i stopped to put water in, and it was pretty much full, not even half of like a 32oz glass, so just to be on the safe side i checked my oil too, it was fine. Any idea on what this could be???

yeah man, your radiator fluid was probably low. Happened to me, and I added some more and it went away.

Yeah, but now its to the top with water, and still the light is on.

If by adding water it didn't fix the issue it's one of two things.

1) worst case: cracked intake.

2) bast case: bad float sensor.

First, thing I would do is unplg the sensor. It's located under the resevour (sp) tank to the right of your radiator. Unplug that sensor and see if that fixes it. I had the same problem and that's what it was. It can also be another sensor that is located on the intake. The part costs 20 bucks and is easy to replace. The float sensor alone can't be replaced (per ford so maybe it can be) you have to replace the entire tank.

as soon as i pulled the sensor out, the light went off, so i guess its the float sensor like you said, thanks alot, now i get to search for a sensor or tank. Thanks again

no problem. The tank goes for like 75 bucks at the ford dealership
