I'm so P.O.'d I'm not sure when or where it happened, but my wheel got scratched.
I've got the upgraded 5 spoke Brite Wheels for '03 GT.
1. Are they just polished?
2. Are they painted with clear coat?
3. Are they polished and clear coated?
Can I buff the scratches out without having to re-paint the rims? If so How? Any advice/info would be appreciated.

try some blue magic rim cleaner works really good but not saying it is going to take a scratch out but might lighten it up some

They are poished and clear coated. If the scratch won't come out, just buy a polished 01 cobra wheel. It's the same wheel as yours. They are under 200 bucks from FRPP. I got mine from GEFracing.com.

If I can't buff it out and re-polish it... are those 01 cobra wheels clear coated as well as polished?

I've thought about using the Dremel. However, even at low speeds, wouldn't I run the risk of melting the clearcoat in the immediate area of the scratches?

just use light pressure , thats the key to not getting it too hot , plenty of polishing compound because its somewhat of a liquid will help keep it cool too . just do a little at a time .

Yes, they are the exact same wheel.

It says 02 cobra wheel. We all know it's an 01.
