Hi, guys, so I dropped my 347 in yesterday, and just got it up on stands, the oil pan is a deep 7qt oil pan and is kinda resting on those cross bars just the corner, which will def. be a problem, because the engine still has to come down more at the back.... anyone know what the proper name is... you know the x bars in the front... 88 mustang gt convertible. Can I remove them, what are my options, first thing I am doing when the car is running is taking it to a shop to have subframe connectors welded in. So that should stiffen it up.. I would like to just take them off, but thought I should check with you guys first!! Thanks!

take them off

so I left the front v of the x on and took off the back part of the x. So it is fine now, I will just make sure I get those full length connectors on asap. Just got the transmission/flywheel/clutch installed, now just have to put the driveshaft up, I need to have 2 hi flow cats welded into my offroad x pipe, then I can bolt that up with the catback, install the trick flow intake when it arrives, with the fuel rails, 24lbs injectors, then have to follow the instructions for the mass air conversion. Then it will just be the little odd's and ends! Will be so excited to start her up!
