just recently put this motor in my car... i cannot get the carb tuned for the life of me! i bought a fuel guage and i set it at 8 for now. i've tried setting it at 7, 7.5, 8, and 9 to try and see if that's the problem.

i ran the car yesterday at the track and the car bogs at the top of 3rd and feels like it totally shuts down. say i'm on the highway though and downshift to 3rd or 4th it will not bog.

here's the specs:

- 1992 roller motor freshened w/new rings and bearings
- fms b-cam
- 1.6 crane roller rockers
- tfs twisted wedge aluminum heads
- tfs hardened pushrods
- tfs valve covers
- edlebrock air-gap intake
- 1" carb spacer
- solid motor mounts
- fms crank/waterpump pullies
- crane ignition box

exhaust:

- hedmen unequal headers
- off road h-pipe
- 2 chamber flowmasters dumped

drivetrain:

- world class t-5 transmission
- unknown aftermarket clutch
- hurst short shifter

suspension:

- eibach pro lowering springs
- stock 8.8 rear end w/ fms 4.30 gears
- steeda subframe connectors

fuel:

- holley 600 vac secondary carb
- holley blue pump
- fuel pressure regulator
- autometer in-line fuel guage
- rci 12 gallon fuel cell
- 3/8" aluminum fuel line

misc:

- 3" pin on cowl hood
- 3 core radiator
- a/c removed
- power steering removed

Check the float bowl adjustments if you haven't already. Fuel pressure is fine at about 7-7.5. Check you're fuel line and see if there's anywhere it could be getting heated up when the engine's under full load. Could be a vaporlock problem. If it's close to a heat source, insulate it good.
