Need Help w/ Trans Leak

99 GT, aftermarket cooler.

It was dripping at the hose going into the radiator from the cooler, the one right above the bottom radiator hose. I took the hose completely off and noticed it was at quite a bend and seemed worn, so I replaced the entire hose. Actually put two clamps on it, it is still dripping.

My question is...Is that nipple going into the radiator just above the bottom hose threaded into the radiator. It appears to be but its hard to see from above and I dont have the car on the lift yet. I was wondering if maybe it may be leaking around the threads there, maybe teflon tape it and put it back in.

So is that threaded in there? Any other suggestions?

the bottom line is the return line i believe, and it does thread into the heat exchanger part of the radiator if memory serves me right

Thanks, I put it up on the lift today and it does appear to be threaded. I'll tear into it this weekend and see if that fixes my drip.

i used some teflon tape when rerouting mine to my tranny cooler, but you shouldn't have to replace the fitting. I believe it's pretty suffcient
