ok, i have an 88 gt. i got it with a 5 lug conversion, and 4 wheel disc. ever since ive wanted to get some 13" drilled/slotted rotors for the front, and 11.65" for the rear.

here is my problem. the rears are already 11.65", he used a cobra R rearend from my understanding. when he dropped the car off, i was told this is a cobra r rearend . the front is still the 9" rotors. the caliper is stationary, so i cant use a 13" rotor.

how can i get a different bracket for the 13" rotors in the front? the caliper is not adjustable, i have no idea what he actually used for converting the front, or even rear as far as spindles, ect. the rear is fine for the rotors, but the front is the problem.

hopefully this makes sense. is there anywhere i can just get the holder for the caliper? will i be able to take one off another mustang with factory 13" front brakes?

any help is appreciated.

Regardless of what you have on the fronts now, I believe you are going to have to replace the calipers with ones from a car with 13" brakes if that's what size you want. I think you're going to have problems trying to reuse your existing calipers. :damnit: If you get the ones that are meant for 13 inchers, they are spaced up to make clearance for the bigger rotors. I don't know of any brackets to raise up the caliper. You really need to take a look at the spindles in the front and see what you've got. If you have the sn95 units, there's just a little grinding that you have to do on the spindles to fit the bigger cobra or bullitt calipers. If you have the original fox spindles with lincoln rotors, you're going to have to go with aftermarket calipers. I think baer has a kit for the fox cars that includes calipers, rotors, etc. To determine what you've got on the front, pull a wheel and look to see if you have a separate hub/rotor. If they're two pieces, the previous owner did you a big favor by converting to sn95 spindles. If they're a one piece hub and rotor, he went the cheap route and you've got the lincoln rotors. Another thing to keep in mind is that going to 13" brakes and bigger calipers is probably going to require a master cylinder upgrade. Again, that depends on whether or not the previous owner upgraded that, and with what.

Where else did you post this question?

You need different spindles - complete with hubs, rotors and calipers.
