Ok, so I'm a newb to driving a manual. The sounds are a little different than the ones I'm used to on an auto.
My question is about a sound that resemblems something whining. Think of it like when you hear a 18-wheeler accelating from a stop or like a turbo sound.
I'm not sure of its source but it happens when I am going slow in a low gear (1st, 2nd and 3rd). It's not there when I'm idle and I think it gets quieter at high speed.
I took it in to the dealer and they had a tech drive it with me and he said that it was normal and that because I put in an aftermarket shifter it was just more noise than usual getting inside the cabin.
Just need some assurance I think.
