Have you looked at the Hooker Super Competition yet?

I love headers, but here in Texas they create a lot of heat...even if wrapped. I opted for cast factory headers on my 40 Ford coupe powered with a modified 289. They work great and force most of the heat out the back.

Years ago, I thought a scored a set of stainless shorties but no luck on the fit. Since the manifolds were off, I made a snap decision to go with hedmans ceramic long tubes. Fit is great and I'm really happy with performance. I have a Windsor in mine as well.

With a recent rebuild, I had the headers so I had a good look at how they has done. No rust, some marks from taking off and on.
