will I need to use clay?
if I use that meguiar's nxt wax will I need to use a poish too?

A polish is a good idea. It replaces the natural oils that are in the clear. I would recommend first to clay bar, polish, then use the NXT wax. That wax will also get rid of the light swirl marks. Also, when you wax by hand; try applying it with back and forth strokes instead of a circular motion. Done that for years and works great.

I too second the use of a claybar. It looks to me from that picture you some surface build up which can easily be removed with a claybar. As stated above, the polish you use will restore the natural oils to the paint. Since the car is red, it wont be as hard to hide the swirls and make them less visible. The colorX by Meguiars is worth a try. I personally would go straight for the Meguiars professional series such as numbers 9(swirl mark remover) and number 7(pure polish). After that, top if off with a layer of pure wax and you should be set to go.
