Hi guys, I 'm new to the site. I'm dropping a mildly cammed 302 in a 76 Cobra II. I want to get rid of the puny stock manifolds. What's the trick to fit in some headers or decent flowing manifolds?

The Hooker's are the preferred solution for a 302/auto combination. They are a little more expensive than the Hedman's but have a better pipe routing. And they are FAR less expensive than anything from Borla these days. You have to get a set of weld-on collectors separately, but they are only $25 or so.

The 302/factory 4-speed requires some trimming on the bellhousing, while a 302/T-5 combo requires trimming on the bellhousing and some dimpling of pipes.

I forgot to mention, I have the stock rag 4 sp. What gets trimmed around the bellhousing? My tunnel sheetmetal has been enlarged with a sledgehammer. The car had a Boss 302 with a 4 spd toploader in it, when I bought it.
