Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
I have a metal-metal type rattle noise, sometimes its almost like a grind.
I have had the car on the lift at work, and I have pinpointed the noise to be coming from the bellhousing area. It does not matter if its hot or cold, what gear I'm in, or clutch in or out. No driveability issues.
The noise is most severe during deceleration, in any gear. For instance, at 3,000 RPM and letting it coast down. Pushing the clutch in doesnt make it go away, it just quiets as the RPM's drop. The same noise can be duplicated in neutral, clutch in or out and revving at a stand still.
Clutch and pilot bearing have 60k. Car has 127k. T45 trans. Brand new T/O. New fluid in trans.
