Ok heres the deal. I started with the long bolt on the passenger side. I got it started and snap it broke off. So i said oh well ill try and get the others off anyways. I then moved to the bumper stop lookin thing that connects the sway bar with two bolts. It took me forever to get this thing loose but i finally got it. But now its just turning, its not going anywhere its just turning. I only have basic tools so i did this all with a socket wrench. Kinda hate to turn back now. Any tips to help me get this thing off What can i do!!

You need to find someone with torch man. Same problem replacing the end links on my old '89, and the red wrench was the only way.

there is a nut on to of the bolt you are talking about, i had the same problem. just throw a wrench on the top nut and loosen it with the socket.

Yeah, the frame-mount points have two bolts each, and there is indeed a nut. Have someone on top hold the nut while you're under the car with a ratchet, it's *much* easier that way. The endlinks shouldn't have been that hard....that's odd.

on that nut on top of the frame, did anyone have some stupid plastic deal that was supposed to hold the nut, so it could be removed without holding the nut with a wrench?
i had those - all they did was break, so the nut freewheeled, but made it a pain to break that plastic out of there so i could actually get a socket on it - plastic was in the way.
just curious..

Mav, thanks. i figure the first time someone messes with the anti-sway bar, the plastic thing must get tossed, since not many people mention them in threads. thanks!
