Need help with porting and polishing Cobra intake

Here is little bit about polishing Upper Cobra intake ,
Firtst I been tryin 3 hours take off old paint with air craft paint remower
Than I use 80 grit sandpaper 2 hours , continued tomorrow

Firsc pics under below links are nasty intake with Air craft paint remover

Those casting surface pits are why Ford put the heavy gray paint coating on these intakes. Most Cobra/Explorer intakes I've stripped have them whereas the 87-93 upper intakes do not - nice pebbled surfaces on those.

OK guys i just finished polishing , this pissed me off ,it's too hard to do but it's not too bad , tomorrow I gonna install u/l intake into my Stang

I dont see black lettering there, like on your web page.

I saw a Cobra Intake with RED lettering, it looked Your car is red, so I would go with red letttering.

Seth, did you use any power tools to sand your intake, or did you do it all by hand?

here is where i am on my install. the upper is not mounted yet and it may be another day as i have just seen some nice polishied stuff. all i was gonna do was clean things up real nice and put it on and wait till summer to polish but my eastwood buffing kit is just to my left is whispering "use me, use me".

btw ernie, get a vaccume gague on there, and check your pressure... that's my expert advice for the moment... if your pressure is normal, then I have no idea why it seems gutless... sorry...

Hey guys and you RC ,did you remember when I told you if I can do porting/polishing my Cobra intake I gonna try do same with my brothers intake from 96 Probe GT and I did but not just one I make two ported/polished (because my brother buy extra intake so he can drive car until I finish p/p job like I did , but after that I did old one to(factory) so now we have one for sale , not bad
Here is pics before and after (after is both intakes)
