Well, I ripped out the carpet and have everything almost ready to use Por15 on the floorpan but I can't get the e-brake out. The tension on the cable is to great so when I unbolt it it jerks back against the opening in the floorpan. Also the box (Sorry, don't know what it does to specify) behind the e-brakeis riveted to the floorpan. How am I supposed to get that out? Any help would be appreciated, I'm stuck on this and would like some input before I go messing stuff up.

You are probably going to have to unhook the ebrake cable from underneath before you can take it out. Either at the ebrake or at the brakes. As far as removing something with rivets, the only way to remove them is to drill them. If you drill them whatever is mounted there will not go back in unless you redo the rivets with a riveting tool or just find a way to bolt it back in using the rivet holes. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Sounds like this is going to be fun:rolleyes:. Hopefully it wont be to bad once I comandere a jack. I unfortunatley don't own a garage and I'm having to work on a gravel driveway.

Nova, is there a bolt that just holds the e-brake together? Or is it a tension adjustment?
