Need help with Tach install

I just bought a Phantom 5" Tach and I got the wiring done except the one to the coil. Im assuming i have to splice into the blaster coil but im not sure which wire to cut, I think its the tan one with a yellow stripe, I just wanna make sure this is right!!!

Ack, dont cut any wires. You splice *into* the negative side of the coil.

Now if you have a MSD box too, there's a port for the tach hook-up.

I spliced mine into the green with yellow stripe wire in the coil harness.

Ignition coil wire legend:
Red/Lt green wire: Positive side switched power from the ignition switch. Use this one to supply power to the tach.

Dark Green/yellow: negative side signal to the TFI module. Use this wire to sent the signal to the indicator circuitry inside the tach. This wire pulses every time a cylinder fires.

Sweet thanks guys, also do you think i can mount this tach to the side of the speedo cluster bezel rather than the Dash, I really dont want to drill holes in the dash!

I mounted mine on the side of the speedo bezel...look in my 88GT link in my sig
