Okay my car is ready to go.... Except for wiring. The car is going to be racing on a circle track. Its an 85. It was a cfi with an overdrive. But now its a 289 4 bbl with a c-4. Does anyone have a simple diagram to wire this car up. All i need is to have is what will make it run, no lights, accesorries other than water temp, oil pressure and a tach. I have a new solenoid, new battery, new voltage regulator. It will be push button start. so i dont have a key. So if anyone could help it would take some strain off. The old wiring harness is completely out of the car but i still have it.

It depends on what kind of ignition sytem and charging system you want to go with. It sounds like your simplifying things so I would go with a one wire alt. and HEI distributor. Typically its 12v to the coil with the negative going to the distributor. The alt. wire goes to the starter relay with fusible link. Youll need an ignition switch to power the coil(12v fused to the switch and back to the coil).
