ok here's the problem a female friend of mine took her car out of storage to let it run and drive because it was kinda nice out. Well before it went in storage she said she thought the clutch was going out and it smelled like it too. So we decided to do the clutch in the spring well she's now having funky trouble with the battery not staying charged so once we got it started it started to smoke and I looked down for where it was coming from and the pulley below the power steering pump was locked up and the belt was just smoking on it so I think it is the pollution pump but I'm not sure so any help would be greatly appreciated

also the car is a 95GT conv. all stock down to the air silencer with only 58k on the clock. If it is the poll pump pm me if you have a working one that you"re
no longer using.

you can buy a shorter belt and bypass it, take a string and go around all the accessories bypassing the ac and then check the string lenghth and then figure out what size belt you need, or better yet go to the parts store and make them help you find the right size belt, tell them the car doesn't have a/c and that should be the right sized belt

your other options, if she has to have ac in the winter-lol are to replace the compressor , or at least have it checked out to make sure that is what it is.

i was suggesting the belt as a temp fix to get is somewhere and have it thoroughly checked out

but if the pulley wont budge it sounds like the compressor locked up on you---good luck---
