Here is the rundown: '84 lincoln engine at 0.040, '87 mustang upper and lower, retained the fuel inj. and the sd set up. I had been running with out a fan until I put the engine in, then it started running hot....... so I finally found a fan (local jy's didn't have any for a stang with a clutch) and it just do happened to be the same kind that jegs sells as a non-clutch fan. now the heat hand is like two lines above the bottom of the guage( I haven't upgraded to a full sweep guage yet still factory) adn yet when I am under the hood the upper intake is burnning to the touch. One more thing I am also running no thermostat. could my sensor be off or what? I mean before I put the fan on I drove the car less than five miles and the temp hand almost pegged out but I could lay my hand on the valve cover now it barely moves and I can't touch the intake. I got the car with no thermostat, I didn't know it until I pulled the intake to check it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Be brutal if you must.
