need help

hello, i just installed 3 10" mtx 5500 thunders. i hooked everything up and started my car. from the subs came the alternator squeal and the subs thumped everytime the alternator threw a charge. i have a 1200 w legacy amp. what is my problem?

check the grounds,cheap rca's and probably the amp isnt the best quality.

+1, isn't Legacy made by Pyramid? I remember walking into pawn shops and seeing a kiosk of pyramid amps and speakers...

like i said i was under a budget. i have checked the ground and relocated it to a bare metal spot. havent been able to try it out but will tonight.
