Need Help!!

ok my friend got his diablo tuner last night and we went to install the tune and it say the vehicle already has a tune and cannot override a custom tune. so the guy he bought it from must have had a tuner and never gave it to us

how does he get it back to a factory tune so he can use the diablo?

also he has a speed cal would that make it say it already has a tune?

You will have to visit a ford dealership. Speedcal is only to correct the speedo so it doesnt mean it has a tune.

Man thats crazy....the sct tuners will overwrite whatever tune is on the car. Seems strange that the diablo wont....but like said, take it to ford an have them reflash the EEC with a stock tune.

Call another....they are retards. Just tell them you want the most updated flash avilable for your EEC. Dont tell them anything else.

Take it to another dealership. ECU has to be reflashed back to stock.

Well when we were going to have my dads 00 V6 stang's eec flashed for a gear swap (didnt do it because they said it may not take that gear ratio), they quoted us a price of $80 if I recall correctly. So you should look for it to cost somewhere around that amount

yeah they can reflash it to stock. just say you need a PMI done. what dealership did you take call? i use to work at earnhardt ford and still have some buddy that can help you out. i work at a ford up in salt lake but they can reflash back to stock using as built data. i charge an hour to do that. so around $95.

ok so we got it reflashed at www.bieberfever.com for $99 and the tuner worked and we adjusted for his gears and larger wheels and everything worked great!! thanks for the help guys
