Gents, Need help deciphering an engine part # F4ZZ6V012BRM. Supposed to be a Cobra motor w/GT-40 Alum heads. Forged pistons??? ANY info is most appreciated. My tired '92 driver blew a head gasket yeaterday and I'm thinking of $$ this and droping it in. No wheels in the meantime. thanks guys.
I don't see that being a cobra motor researching the part #. The GT40's are cast iron not aluminum. Forged pistons pretty much stock when you do a rebuild.
He said he got it from the dealer. Still wrapped in plastic. I wanted to know if anyone knew about the pistons as I have supercharger plans possibly for the future.
I'm going to try to see it this weekend. I have a feeling they are cast iron heads.
