My fuel pump is bad. Mods:

306
Edelbrock 6037's? something like that-sorry at work
cam
24#r's

I think I currently have a 155 FMS.

Not planning any major engine mods. What size should I get-155 again? Brand suggestions?

Thanks!

I have a bit more aggresive setup than you and I run a 190lph Walbro fuel pump...they are roughly $90 bucks and you can get them from either www.jdsperformance.com or www.50resto.com

It will easily give you enough fuel for your current combo...

I even think the 155lph would be enough...assuming you actually have the 155lph...

The stock fuel pump size is 88 or 95lph...

Go ahead and get a 255lph. they cost about the same as a 155 or 190.That you'll know the fuel is getting there.

I would go with the standard pressure 255.
The high pressure one I "think" is aimed more at the small blower crowd...

Get a 255, any unused fuel will go back to the tank, good to have a strong pump anyways cause you might get wild with mods down the road. all these pumps are made by walbro......BBK, holley, granitelli.

This is the one item that bigger is better. I would stay with the normal 255lph just because on a street car your running the pump longer on your drives and if you go under 1/2 tank of fuel your not getting the pump cooled with the fuel in the tank and they don't last long because of over heating. Walbro has posted this warning a couple of years ago because the HP255 was not lasting in street applications. The HP255 also pulls 5amps more and on the old tech sheet I have it also required 13.2 volts to be running at fuel pressure.
