I'm gonna ditch my x2c upper control arms and get a new set of uppers. Do I need to get adjustable ones? I know its better so I can set the pinion angle right. But is resetting the pinion angle needed or gain any benefit. MM recommends frpp uppers. I was thinking frpp or steeda. My x2c's have to much play in them front to rear and side to side. I guess ****ty fitment. I need something that is not gonna give me fitment problems.

I have the Steeda heavy duty uppers. They are basically the FRPP boxed in.

Well, I had no intentions of changing the uppers. I kept hearing a more pronounced clunk in the rear over a 6 month period after my wreck and the rear was getting loose. The stock uppers got bent at the top near the upper bushing. The Steeda heavy duty UCAs did the trick. However, after 6 months, it is hard to compare to stock.

All that was 4 months ago. I just added the Steeda aluminum LCAs. Overall, nice stuff. My buddy liked the Steeda UCAs and is planning on getting some for his 90GT since his stocks are about shot.

Hard to beat the price too of the UCAs.

i'm also considering their aluminum lowers (you happen to have my desired set up).. could you notice anything from adding those?

A little. I also did Eibach pro-kit and shocks/struts at the same time.

I did the install myself. It wasn't hard.

MustangLife - Do you have the old X2C tubular style control arms or the new Boxer control arms?

From what I've read.. the Upper arms are not really necessary..but it will be stronger than the stock ones and the price is not too bad.. so that may be the reason of me getting one..
