I have an SLP catted x pipe on my gt and the fitment is horrible. The x pipe does not fit under the car it hangs down and drags the ground. Iv tried jacking the xpipe up and tightening it but it just doesnt fit. Since I already had to replace the cats once and it needs done again im just going to buy a different x pipe. I dont want to buy another poor fitting x pipe so can anyone give me their opinion a better pipe? I was looking at magnaflow but it cost a ton and I heard a clip of a upr x pipe with the same catback i have and it sounds pretty close to how my slp pipe sounds. I love the way the slp x and mac catback sounds but its time to get rid of the slp! ... basically i need a new catted x pipe and it needs to fit and sound good... any help?

I don't have a catted UPR. But mine fits great, was easy to install and cheap. Only problem is it's not stainless. But I coated mine with high temperature engine paint and don't have any rust 6 years later.

I'm gonna chime in. I've dealt with many x-pipes on these cars with my own car and my friends. Some of the lesser known x-pipes are just as great quality as the high priced ones. VRS is a company that makes all of UPR's x-pipes but a little cheaper. Definately cheaper than Bassani or Magnaflow. They make stainless and aluminized. Right now I'm running a Pypes catted x-pipe and love it. So Pypes and VRS is what I recommend.

I have a friend with a Pypes x pipe and it hangs way too low. Drags the ground in some driveways and all speed bumps. I have heard of this being a common problem with Pypes.
