I am buying new shocks and struts and I was wondering what do you guys prefer. I have BBK Lowering springs right now and that is all. I really like the Bullitt Shocks and Struts or the Mach 1 shocks and struts. Just curious what you guys would say.

if you're going to spend the money do it properly, go for a Watts linkage at the rear (Evolution Motorsports) or at the very least a Panhard rod, then match the springs and shocks to the conditions you likly to drive on.

Slamming the ride to the ground on large wheels with over stiff suspension and limited travel will diminish handling potential.

I have Eibach Pro kit and i love it

best thing about it is the rest of Eibach's suspension stuff works awesome and it's all designed to work together

I have the sways, shocks/struts and lowering springs..car handels the balls

Either of the kits you mentioned would work, as a matter of fact my Son has the Mach1's on his lowered '04 GT because they were like new when I took them off my Mach1 so it saved him some bucks.

I would say though if you are going to spend the bucks go the extra and get some adjustables. If you can afford it go with the Koni's, if that's too much, then the Illumina's and if that's too much $$ go no less than the KYB's.

Alright and I know when your car is lowered there is no helping the ride quality, but what will improve because right now it rides like a lumber wagon.

I think it's a combo of springs struts/shocks to get the overall ride quality. My Son's GT has lowering springs (I can't remember who makes them but they are yellow?) and like I said the Mach1 struts/shocks and his rides a little rougher than my Mach1 does with the MRT race springs and Illumina's.

Try your choice of struts/shocks with your current springs and if it's not to your liking you may be able to try different springs and sell your BBK's.

I just installled Steeda Sport springs and Tokico HP's this weekend. The ride quality is far better than I ever imagined. I can't begin to describe how much better my car now rides compared to before. I would stongly recommend replacing the struts/shocks with some quality pieces.

I've owned a few sporty cars before getting my Mustang. I can tell you that my Mustang in it's stock form was the worst handling car of all of them. After installing the H&R Super Sports and the Mach 1 shocks it has TOTALLY changed the handling of the car for the better. I've said this before and I'll say it again. In my opinion, this should be the first mod on a GT. Oh and I got the Mach 1 shocks/struts for $179  . Will get the Bilstiens one day.

ive got the agx's on my ride. the shocks i wouldnt bother getting, not much differnece between 1 and 8, but, the struts on the other hand, are in my oppinion very nice.i rate the struts good, and the shocks bad.i would spend some extra money tho, and get somethin a little nicer for the rear.
