Well my car is getting pretty fast now and I need to start upgrading the brakes.

Looking for ideas on better parts. I was looking at the Maximum Motorsports BP-1 kit but don't know if I want to drop $250 right now. Basically looking for slight improvement over stock as everything is totally stock right now (might even be original 87 crap as the people I bought it from were older and didn't run the car hard..had zero mods). I was going for the 73mm calipers but heard that you should only run them with disc rears.

So maybe better pads front and shoes rear, I have the metal bushings for the calipers just need to install. It is 4 lug and no I have no thoughts for 5 lug at all and not really nuts about going disc rear, just something little better than stock.

For the very best brake info for Mustangs see http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/

The 73 MM front calipers will work with your stock rear drums. However you will need a new master cylinder. See the above link for details

I have read a few of those types of write ups. MM doesn't recommend the 73MM with drums though and I figured it was due to tire lock up easier. If I do go with the 73's is there a big advantage with the steel of the phenolics? I've heard the steels are better for road racing but the phenolic are good for the street.
