Looking for some opinions on what year Mustang to purchase. I have wanted one for years now, but didn't want it as a daily driver but something I take out on nice summer days. But now I have some extra cash and I'm looking to purchase a GT convertible as a second car, and between the years of 1997 to 2000 because they are in my price range(12,000 or less). Is there anything I should look for when searching for the right GT? Is there any year that I should consider over the others? And I am leaning toward a 99 or 00 because most have lower miles. Just looking to drive it once in a while, take it to the drag stripe maybe a few times a year, and would like to modify it. Also, I read something about cracked intakes, is that a widespread problem or just a fluke. Thanks in advance for any help.
