Well since my turbo project kinda fell through, i need a new set up. I have iron gt 40's with cobra 1.7's, explorer upper and a few bolt ons. I went 13.8 @ 103 n/a and 12.9 on spray with stock gears and street tires.

Im looking for a combo that will put me in the 12's n/a and 11's on juice with 3.55 gears and dr's. I have no idea what aluminum heads i am going to get. Please feel free to share. But, other than that i have this in mind.....

-Trick flow track heat, 75mm tb, 75mm elbow
-75mm or 80mm (idk which is better?) maf cal'd to 24lb injectors
-255 lph pump
-stock cam (i know i know, but dont ask why) new lifters and stock length hardened pushrods
-basice tune up, fludyne 2 row, hoses
-spec stage 2
-my 150 wet shot is coming back:D

Basically i have no clue about heads. Please fill me in on what heads to get and the supporting hardware to go with them (or if the rockers and pushrods i have will work).

Thanks, Kyle

Theres a dude runnin a crane 2031/Gt-40p heads/a9l computer on the corral. He has full exhuast maf and Tb too. But so will u.
I just say this because mabey you can keep your heads and just get 12's with a 200 dollar camshaft all motor :D. This cam is design for 1.7rr and only a few ppl have had to mess with rod length.

Im partial to AFR 185's but u gotta notch your pistons. 165's will be plenty for your combo espessially N/a. Trick flow TW are cheaper tho, so mabey you could find a used set in the classifieds

The gt40 heads will get you your goals. If money is no object, hands down a set of twisted wedge is what i'd use along with a 1.6 stud rocker and hardened pushrods. 6.7" should work fine. I would do an aggressive FTI or hitech motorsports custom camshaft and valve springs.

Now, you'll NEED gears. 373 minimum, 410 ideal for your n/a combo.

If you're interested, my friend bought my old FTI custom cam and he has no use for it. It was designed for TW heads on a stock shortblock 302. It'll clear fine. You'll need a set of valve springs from FTI though. Im basicaly setting you up with my old combo but done RIGHT. I had a too small intake, too small tb & untuned (too lean). I went 12.8 @ 109 with those problems. Let me know if you need more help ;)
