need some advice on my motor build

ok well the stock motor i just get in march is dead some how i had low oil pressure and a rod bearing broke loose on me so i am kinda pissed and my wife thinks i should just get red of the car and get the corvette but the car will be paid for in 3 more months and i dont want another new car payment so .......


ok i should have done it rigth the first time and just got the forged shortblock instead of getting a new stock motor (3200+1000 installed what a waste)




i am now going to do it the rigth way and i am stuck between building a forged 4.6 motor part by part or getting a forged shortblock from vt or mmr



or going with a 5.4l forged build up but with this build i cant use me long tube headers


so any help would be great guys kinda have an idea were i want to go

i have priced some parts most from vt 1295---> i beam rods ------>695 for forged pistons


ps i do still have the sq-trim vortech was thinking to sell it and go with the ken belle or maybe even turbo but i will just keep the sq i know i can get 550 or so out of it

take the heads off your old engine and put them on a new forged shortblock. unless you are an experienced engine builder and can properly balance a shortblock, just buy one from a reputable company already assembled.
